Lord Building Solutions was founded on the premise of solving two complex, reoccurring challenges that are prevalent in today’s construction industry. Framers are few and far between in Northern New England, forcing General Contractors to bear the burden with a limited workforce in skill and numbers. Tighter building envelopes are becoming the norm through code enforcement and clientele demands, yet no single subcontractor owns the Air Sealing duties, thus this scope of work ends up falling on the General Contractor when all is said and done.
LBS is here to “fill the void” for your Framing and Air Sealing needs. Through partnerships with regional panel building companies, we will soon provide General Contractors with peace of mind, knowing that they will shorten their build schedules and end up with a higher quality of product than that of the typical on-site, piece by piece framing saga. Through our partnership with Aeroseal, we will eliminate the traditional Air Sealing procedures by value engineering out expensive adhesives, sealants, gaskets, and most importantly guess-work labor by making Automated Air Sealing with AeroBarrier the typical, building best practice. Ultimately, our goal is to become Northern New England’s certified subcontractor for on-site Panelized Building Installation and all things Air Sealing. We will be your Building Envelope Erectors and Air Sealing Specialists!
Alex Lord - Owner
As a Second Generation Builder and a Carpenter by Trade, Alex has comprehensive experience in the construction industry. With a background in both Residential and Commercial Construction, from code built to deep energy retrofits and passive house building, Alex understands foundation to finish processes and procedures and the cyclical challenges that industry leaders are facing today. This understanding has provided him with a distinct vision as to what practices need to be implemented to combat a waning workforce. Enamored by the evolution of Off-site and Automated Building Practices, Alex sees a Bright Future for the Building Sector and those who decide to dedicate their life’s work to this field.
Evan Stonebreaker - Air Sealing Technician
Evan Has a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from the University of New England. He brings job site supervision and professional OSHA training along with several years of experience as a residential energy auditor. Working under the Mass Save residential energy auditing program, Evan understands the energy needs and complexities of a wide variety of housing styles. Empowering clients to make their homes more energy efficient, healthy, and comfortable is critical for a more sustainable future. Evan is dedicated to making energy improvements accessible to all and standard practice among builders.
